"Healthy people are happy people. People who run are healthy people, so they are happy people." --MANDY EGGINK, speech for english class

so i'm updatinging again. i'm still intrigued by these grapple fruits - apples but they smell like grapes?! this is new. tony's mom said she has had apples that are pear-like, do they call them papples?

so to restate my semester grades in case you missed the awesomeness: - 1 A, 3 A-'s, and a B. i thought there was only going to be 1 A and 4 B-ish grades. WOO!

this evening before the gowdy / oyer party, my parents had gone to run errands and pick up gma so lo and me decided to ride bikes to the circle off of greenleaf where my aunt and uncle live. it was a good trip until, two houses away, the gears were in-between i guess and the chain came off the too-flat-tire'd roadster on a tight fast turn and i crashed. first thing i did was ask my sister if i still had all my toenails, because i was wearing flip-flops. still did! but i also skinned a big toe, a pinky toe (both very bloody), skinned my hip, landed on one knee the bike on the other, and got to come away with a gory elbow. but, i'm a good bike-wrecker; anyone else would've died!!

as soon as we got there, all the kids, sawyer and kub and scott's kid tyler (scott is who liz is with now) all ran up to me with bubble-guns hahahha and started shooting me and i was immobile with my injuries. rather funny. another thing that grabbed my attention was my 89-yr-old gma in a wheelchair her arm in a sling (she fell) holding a green bottle of grolsh in the other hand, ha! we had hamburgers mmmmm.

next i spent the rest of the night at tony's house with al fran mandy (tony's fam) and the dogs. then stubbs and tony got back late from paul's and we sat at the kitchen table with fran. i swear my favorite talks ever happen there with them three; ones we never expect to be having. tony and matt had beers but i couldn't because of drug-testing tomorrow. (seevers is having his too lol...) a few things that struck me thinking back on: evan asking if one of us or he could kick passed-out-mikey on the floor of our dorm because his snoring was annoying, and i told evan he snores all the time and he said to me, "sorry, but maan he's annoying. can i kick him?" and the time blonde erin poured beer from the roof of the manhammer down to stubbs to drink. and on the way home from btown when i found out my dad really likes weezeer. and last night, when meredith brought up bush to al and he jumped out of his seat and did that talk with her hahhahaha. and tony got us each shot glasses from europe; mine is on a lanyard! and he gave me a heini coaster tooo. What a guy! and stubbs and my dad both commented tonight how it looks like i used dirt for deodorant, my white democrat shirt is that filthy-dirty.

read a wonderful tarentino uma article in RS today and tomorrow am gonna read the playboy one that i came about on moving day. the one i read was about how uma is tarentino's muse, and it explained what a muse exactly is - interesting read.

besides the two sleater-kinney albums i've discovered i have and le concorde's "groovy" cd i seem to be enjoying singing lately, i am a fan of the new pornographers' electric version!! their song, ballad of a comeback kid, reminds me of sondre lechre...nevermind the last comment, this brings me to lists...

grabes writes: "We decided to find a love interest for Gowdy this summer.....I am genuinely looking out for my boy, but I think she may also be looking for some amusement in the whole affair. I admit it could be funny....but I'm in it for Gowdy, not my sense of humor. What do you think, Nate G?"
